Hearing Tests

We provide a comprehensive hearing assessment

We begin with a 1 hour to 1.5 hour appointment which involves a history taking, a detailed hearing test, speech test, central processing test. This results a description of the anticipated hearing handicap. We also assess your perception of the hearing handicap, and discuss which parts of the handicap to prioritise with your hearing management plan. Once this process is complete, we will discuss your hearing plan and any fees involved.

We then customise a recommended hearing aid from an extensive range of hearing aid types and brands.
This hearing device is adjusted specifically for your ear and your hearing needs. Each hearing aid is like a mini computer and is fully adjustable. Once your hearing aid has been fitted, we then follow up in 2 to 3 weeks to rate performance against agreed goals. We can then fine tune your hearing aid or entirely reprogram your device if necessary.

If your hearing changes over time, we can make further adjustments to your hearing aid. This normally removes the need to keep upgrading your hearing aid, should your hearing impairment change over time.
